- We at
MAS and MCA are very thrilled to announce our 2nd annual Umrah trip scheduled
for July 2007, insha-Allah.
Our program this year is fueled by feedback from our community members
and from youth participants at
last year's Umrah trip. This
year, our program will be geared
towards families with a special youth program. Our objectives are to:
- Help participants draw
nearer to Allah Almighty
-
Increase our love of the
Prophet (SAS) and his
companions
-
Develop an attachment and reverence towards the two holy cities
- Strengthen family and community
bonds
Our
journey will start in the holy city of Makkah where those
blessed to be His guests will have
the opportunity to elevate themselves through many acts of worship
including Umrah. We will also visit historic sites such as Arafah,
Mina and the cave of Hira'. The journey then continues on to Madinah
where we will spend a few days of prayers and contemplation at the
Prophet's mosque. In Madinah, we will also be visiting historic sites
such as Uhud, Quba' and al Baqi'. The journey will take us back to
Makkah for a few more nights of spiritual rejuvenation and a farewell Umrah before we head back to the US.
Our
trip will be filled with inspirational and educational talks, group
bonding exercises, qiyams and other activities. Our efforts will strive
to provide the right atmosphere to inspire
hearts and minds. And success comes from Allah alone.
Shaikh Mohammed Faqih

letter should be notarized.
